There’s a feeling from my time in the Kootenays that I want to hold on to. I felt it the entire trip — coffee in my hands, mist sitting low on the water, mountains stacked up so big and quiet that my whole body just… exhaled. For someone who feels everything — who usually has to brace against a world that’s too loud, too bright, too much — being in a landscape that enormous didn’t overwhelm me. It met me. Day after day, there was finally enough room for all of it.

That’s the feeling I wanted to carry home and build something around. Because summer, for a lot of us, is a strange season. It’s sold as carefree and easy, but it can also be the most sensory-intense stretch of the year. The gift of being outdoors isn’t that it asks you to feel less — it’s that, in the right place, feeling deeply finally feels like a fit instead of a problem.
That’s where Full Spectrum Summer came from. I wanted my art to come outside with me — not stay framed on a wall, but live in the season itself, in the moments that ask you to be present and the ones that ask you to slow down. Original work, hand-drawn and inspired by chakra energy work, made to move at your pace, wherever the energy takes you.

But more than anything, what I was really chasing was that sense of room — a place big enough to hold everything you carry. My work has always reached for that. The geometric pieces I draw slowly, by hand, are how I make sense of a nervous system that takes in the whole world at once. Bringing that art outside, into the exact places that give us space to breathe, felt like closing a loop: calm you can carry, beauty that comes with you instead of staying behind.
Wherever this summer takes you — a mountain, a back porch, a crowded festival you’ll need to step away from for five quiet breaths — I hope you move through it at your own frequency. Take the shade when you need it. Carry what grounds you. Feel all of it. For the ones who feel everything. 🦚
